There are probably many people who try to connect with others through social networking that was never designed to be a dating app. I personally use all of those apps to connect with people in business and education, but that's just me. I can honestly say that I constantly receive scam attempts from "women" on Instagram pretending to want to hook up, so scammers will use probably any viable platform to search for potential victims.
