Part of the problem of solving poverty is that most people tend to believe they suffered poverty at some point. Quite often, it's an inner story of remembering when he or she was a student and couldn't afford to buy a CD he or she wanted. The reality is that most people have not suffered poverty but because of those inner stories, they feel that it's just a matter of raising yourself up by your bootstraps (like they did). Therefore, they ignore the plight of poverty because they haven't been touched by it as those who truly suffer poverty are currently living.
