I tend to sign into Facebook once every few months and then start searching for the most bizarre material physically possible. And then I sign out. Months later, I sign back in to see what sick crap Facebook has been trying to push to me since that time. And then I sign out again. Facebook really offers nothing of valuable to practically anybody. However, because I'm a professional author, my author site does get enough traffic that I tend to keep my account active, just so that readers have the ability to keep in touch and see what new material I'm publishing. Other than that, I completely ignore it. I don't really need to know how Becky from Kindergarten is doing these days.
